I got it after Covid19 happened, so maybe thank you, covid? *trying to be as positive as I could*

I was graduated in September 2019, and not long after Covid19 happened, so basically, I can't enjoy my earnings at their full potential. I love to do outdoor activities such as snorkeling, hiking, basically traveling. And due to Covid19 hitting Indonesia like any other country, I can't travel much.

And it turns me into someone homey. I love staying at home right now. I want to make my home as comfortable as I can. And I am doing all the activities that I can from my house.

The first problem is I can't stay productive when I am at home. I felt like I wanted to sleep all day or binge-watching Netflix or Youtube. I felt regret and not so good if I was lying on my bed all day, well I still did that on my Saturday.

After researching and trial-error, I finally found the lifestyle that fit me. Here are my six game-changers of life, especially for Covid19 life, and I think it still works for me even after Covid19 ends.

1. Read in the morning

Back then, I would open my phone and scroll on Instagram and Twitter for half an hour after opening my eyes. I dont feel good about it. After I scroll on social media, I feel jealous of people out there. Like they have a good life, but as you guys know that people only show their best on social media, right?

So, I need to change that habit of mine. I need to change it to something else. And I decide to read a book or article when I open my phone. Sometimes, I need to gather my soul after waking up, so I need a minute or two in bed. So, while waiting for my soul to gather, I would rather read an article or book on my phone.

I felt good about it, and Medium became the application that I would open after turning off my alarm. Usually, after a light workout, I will read more when I have more time. And I enjoy reading a physical book after a light exercise because I can underline, circle, or highlight specific points in the physical book.

Call me an old person now.

2. Brush my teeth

Really? Are you that stupid, Dina?

Well, sorry, I usually brush my teeth after breakfast, and it turns out it is not suitable for my teeth. But, I did my homework.

While you sleep, plaque-causing bacteria in your mouth multiply. That's part of why you may wake up with a "mossy" taste and "morning breath." Washing those bacteria right out with a fluoride toothpaste rids your teeth of plaque and bacteria. It also coats your enamel with a protective barrier against acid in your food.

So, if you brush your teeth after breakfast, it will make your teeth cry because you don't have a barrier against the acid that will come to your teeth. According to Dr. Mitali Hariawala, Dental Community Manager at the quip, brushing your teeth straight after eating is essentially like scrubbing a cleaning detergent on your enamel. Although your enamel is solid, brushing acid-softened enamel will wear it down, resulting in tooth decay and discolored teeth (as the yellow layer directly below your enamel, called Dentin, gets exposed).

I was so shocked when I studied when I should brush my teeth because I want my teeth to be strong until I grow old. I want to eat whatever I want until I am old, which requires strong teeth.

So, that's why the first thing that I do in the morning is brush my teeth. I hope we can have strong teeth till we grow old, fellas.

3. Light workout in the morning

Again, it was not shocking, right?

Maybe many of you already did that. I was a typical woman who maximized the time of my sleep. So, if I have a schedule at 8 AM, I will wake up at 7.50 or even at 7.55 and open my laptop. Working from home really changed me.

And, again, I did my homework. What can I do to make my day a lot better than usual? I read a book called The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod. He said that only a few minutes of exercise each day significantly enhances your health. I did not believe him at first, because what can 10 minutes of workout do to my body?

And, I tried it myself the very next morning after I read that book. Surprisingly, I did feel something. I felt happier after I workout in the morning. I only did 10 minutes of yoga to stretch my body, which worked wonders.

Usually, when I did the morning briefing, I felt grumpy and hated when people tried to talk to me. I will instead be silent the whole morning briefing. But, after I did my morning workout in the morning, I felt my brain work faster than usual.

I can write more fluently, and all the ideas came to me. If you want a slight change in your life, maybe you need to consider trying a light workout in the morning.

I am still doing it until now and still doing my "heavy workout" in the evening. Because I am a lazy girl, but I want a lean body with muscle, I am still doing heavy workouts.

4. Intermittent Fasting up to 16 hours

Since college, I would rather not have my breakfast in the morning. Why? Because I was too lazy to cook or prepare some food in the morning, I may be too lazy to put food in my mouth in the morning. Kidding!

So, because of my laziness, I would rather not eat anything in the morning, and it has become a habit since I was in college. Many of my friends told me that it was not healthy. So, I did my research.

Intermittent fasting control when you eat and not what you eat. Many diets control what you eat, but I love to eat. I enjoy eating not only to fill my stomach but enjoying all the flavor of the food.

Johns Hopkins neuroscientist Mark Mattson, Ph.D., has studied intermittent fasting for 25 years. He says that our bodies have evolved to be able to go without food for many hours, or even several days or longer. Before humans learned to farm in prehistoric times, they were hunters and gatherers who evolved to survive — and thrive — for long periods without eating. They had to: It took a lot of time and energy to hunt game and gather nuts and berries.

And right now, with all the devices surrounding us, life has become so easy. Extra calories and less activity will lead us to many diseases. I want to have a healthy life but still enjoy all the food, so Intermittent fasting is an excellent way to do that.

It fits with my lifestyle and maybe not work for others. So, you guys need to do your research and try it yourself to know what suits you best.

5. Maximum an hours of social media daily

Social media is so fun. It just has that pull to attract me to watch it, to scroll it. And sometimes, I lost count of time while I was scrolling. I felt so bad about it. I want to do my work wonders and all the things that can benefit me in the future. And I dont think that social media can help me in the future.

For the record, I dont a content creator, so I dont make money from it. If you are a content creator, you need your time in social media because you can research it.

Meanwhile, I was not a content creator, so I set up my social media to limit time. It did wonders to me. I can work more productive and do many tasks. I can read more daily because I limit my screen time on social media.

Also, I realize that I have a lot of time to learn new things. It was new to me because back then, I felt like I dont have time, but I knew all my friends' updates from social media.

Right now, I feel like I can maximize my energy to something more valuable to me.

6. Essential Oil

This one was the real game-changing to me. I have used Young Living for almost three months now. On Sunday night, I can't really sleep. I only slept for 3 hours and woke up earlier than usual.

I felt so terrible on Monday!

Yesterday, I used my Lavender oil to my chest before I slept. It really does great! I slept like a log. I woke up at 5 AM and felt so refreshed. I love it sooo much!

After three months of using it, I realized the most significant benefit to me. Usually, I diffuse the oil in my diffuser, and I feel great. I love the aroma and all, but it is just it. Yesterday was one of the most fantastic sleep of my life. I plan to try more oil for now.

Take Out

I want to maximize my time on my home and make a lot of money so that when the pandemic becomes endemic, I will be ready. For the money, I mean. I want to explore all the places I wish to, and I need money. So, here I am. Hope you have a good life as well, fellas.
